THE Drakenstein Municipality will be installing a new traffic light at the intersection of Jan van Riebeeck Drive with Aurora Street in Denneburg, Paarl.
Due to the proximity of the Lady Grey Street robot, the traffic island opposite Fairview Street will be closed, while the access to Aurora Street will be widened to allow for access to the service station and for deliveries to industrial buildings in the area.
* The boundary wall of the Dal Josaphat sportsgrounds is to be reconstructed. Sections of this wall have fallen down over the past year.
* In central Gouda near the R44 and Malva Road intersection, the construction of a petrol filling station is planned.
The Municipality has offered an erf on tender for purchase from the Council. The remainder of site (erf 606) is to be developed as a retail centre. A nearby site (erf 610) is to be rezoned for the construction of a hall, a clinic and a library
