ON Saturday Boland Athletics will be conducting a technical officials’ workshop for anyone interested in officiating during schools or Boland Athletics Club meetings.
The workshop will take place at the Dal Josaphat Stadium. Registration will take place between 10:30 and 11:00. The technical officials workshop will start at 10:00.
The enrolment fee is R50 for registered technical officials and R110 for unregistered technical officials, sport and competition organisers and coaches.
The focus of the workshop will be to brief officials of the more than 100 rule changes that were made during the 2007 IAAF Technical Officials Conference in Japan.
The workshop will also be used to prepare technical officials who wish to officiate at the March ASA National Track and Field Championships.
