THE Western Cape Education Department (WCED) is organising special Saturday classes for candidates who failed the 2007 Senior Certificate Examinations. The candidates will be able to write supplementary examinations in May and June this year.
The support programme will take place at Noorder Paarl Secondary from 2 February to 17 May, It will include three sessions on Saturday mornings, each lasting 90 minutes, amounting to a total of 15 tutorial sessionsStudents may enter for up to three subjects.
Those wishing to participate, must register at Noorder Paarl on Saturday 26 January.
Matriculants of 2007 have until 2011 to write subjects based on the old curriculum.
WCED has invited experienced tutors to apply to teach the Saturday classes, and are already processing applications. Candidates who qualify for writing supplementary examinations must register before 31 January.
Subjects covered are Accounting, Afrikaans, Agricultural Science SG, Biblical Studies, Biology, Business Economics, Computer Studies, Computyping, Economics, English,Geography,History,isiXhosa,Physical Science,Travel and Tourism and Maths.
