Charitable concerts change lives of children

Charitable concerts change lives of children

2008-01-17

THE Cape Classic charitable cultural concerts will once again start in the Boland region. They will be performing on Tuesday 4 March at Nederburg, Paarl.

This will be the beginning of many such concerts that will not only bring wonderful music to the people, but also change the lives of many children.

Cape Classic was founded by a German citizen from Bavaria, Gabi Zahn (a German cultural journalist), in 2002, after having lived in the Cape area for a few years. It is an Article 21 (non-profitable) company.

All the artists take private leave from their symphonic orchestras in Germany to visit this country for about two weeks, without remuneration.

Whoever buys a ticket for one of the concerts will indulge in an unforgettable evening of world-class music, enjoyed in the extraordinary atmosphere of each carefully selected venue, support the cultural exchange between two continents, as well as making a donation towards charity, as the funds raised by each ticket’s sale goes directly to a charitable project.

For more information, visit the website www.cape-classic.com or contact Hesti Lourens at 082-414-9648.
