THREE men from Guguletu appeared in the Paarl Magistrate’s court this week, in connection with a string of ATM thefts across the Boland.

The men were arrested last week, after a foreign tourist was robbed of his credit card at an ATM machine in Franschhoek.

A wild car chase followed between Fran­schhoek police and the assailants, during which various shots were fired. The men were eventually apprehended in Brackenfell.

Mabaza Shebango (29), Wonderboy Khoza (26) and Wusi Hadebe were arrested and charged with fraud, attempted murder and reckless driving.
