Still-Life exhibition

An exhibition entitled ‘Is there Still-Life?’ has opened at the Old Town House in Greenmarket Square, Cape Town.On Saturday at 14:30 Prof Michael Godby conducts a walkabout of the exhibition which runs until 31 March. The vast and lively selection of works provides insight into the different influences on this centuries-old genre, including art styles, lifestyles, socio-political circumstances and the personal philosophies of artists. Hosted by Friends of the Michaelis Collection, the event is free for Friends and R10 for guests. Parking is available in the Mandela Rhodes Place parking garage, corner Burg and Wale Street.
