FEEL the beat of Africa at the Grande Roche Hotel on 24 February.
Enjoy the full moon in an exquisite setting, top wines from the Boland, gourmet food and riveting entertainment when Drakenstein Hospice presents the exhilarating spectacle of singers and dancers in a colourful, vibrant and highly energetic production called Myths and Legends.
Music unites cultures in this unique concept by musical director Mike McCullagh.
It features the Fezeka Choir from Guguletu and a cast of phenomenally talented young singers from the heart of the town itself.
The show presents songs that are stories, myths and legends from all walks of life, but most from Africa.
You can expect new versions of classics like Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry”, Earth, Wind and Fire’s “Fantasy”, Toto’s “Africa”, Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and many more like “Ipi Tombi”, “Mama Tembu’s Wedding”, “The Click Song” and “African Dream”.
