ON Saturday 8 March the members of the Paarl Wine Route will be presenting a tasting of their young wines from the 2008 vintage barrels.
The participating wineries are going to open their cellar doors and visitors will be able to test the unfiltered wines, straight from the tanks.
Activities are tasting of young wines from tanks and cellar tours, grape treading, exhibitions of old cars and art, coffee and tea garden with cake, picnic baskets, grape cutting and pressing, music bands, farmer’s market, horse riding and quad biking through the vineyard, art gallery and jewellery exhibition.
Activities for kids are jumping castle, croquet, slip ’n slide, wall climbing, chocolate tasting and chocolate making demonstrations and a barrel filling competition.
