THE second Tour de Boland Cycle Tour will be hosted next week, starting on Thursday and continuing until the Saturday.
The tour will be held in and around Paarl and will be contested over three stages.
Entries close on Monday, and are open to all Juniors, Elites, Under 23’s and Veterans.
The first stage starts on Thursday at 09:00. It will be contested over a distance of 130km.
The circuit outside Wellington starts on the R45 at Florida Farmstall and consists of hills over 13km. Riders will complete ten laps.
The second stage will cover a distance of 135km, starting at Ivanhoe Park in Klein Drakenstein Road, Paarl East on Friday at 09:00.
Riders travel to Wemmershoek, Simondium, Klapmuts, Agter Paarl, Paardeberg, Wellington and back to Paarl where the stage finishs at the summit of Du Toit’s Kloof Pass.
The third stage takes place on Saturday and it will be in the form of an individual time trial over 26km.
Cyclists meet at Florida Farmstall at 10:00, and ride anti-clockwise on this circuit.
On Saturday, at 08:40, there will be filler events for u.10, u.12, u.14 and u.16 cyclists.
