ALL firearm owners are required by law to renew their firearm licences, permits or authorisations in terms of the firearms control legislation.
Persons whose birthdays fall between 1 July and 30 September must renew their firearm licences before 31 March this year.
The police would like to advise members of the public whose birthdays fall in this category to do so as soon as possible, to avoid queues and delays.
Failure to renew will lead to prosecution.

Should you not want to keep your firearm, it can be handed to the control officer.
