AN eighteen year old woman from Mbekweni was found murdered and raped on Sunday morning on a field within a stone’s throw from the police station.
The body of Ntombeka Litseane of V-Block was discovered by shocked churchgoers who were crossing the field on their way to the morning church services.
The young woman had presumably been beaten to death.
The police are looking for any information, as well as the identity of two men, one dressed in white, who were seen in the vacinity. Insp HH Jansen can be contacted at 082-411-3417.
* In Paarl East, three men were also stabbed to death at the weekend. Granville Toetas (28) was stabbed during an argument in Klein Nederburg. Eugene Claasen and Jerome Swartz were arrested.
Siyabulela Qokonkana was stabbed in Smartie Town. A sixteen year old suspect was arrested. Franklin Jacobs, was killed in Klein Nederburg. Thami Mguga appeared in court.
