Rubberducks take off

THIS weekend saw the first National Rubberduck event of the season, held on the Gariep Dam in the Freestate.
The team of Steyn Basson and Jan Kriel from Wellington, did well to beat some of the top flatwater teams in South Africa.
They captured a 3rd and 4th place during the circuit event, and a win in the longhaul.
Jacques Groenewald and Malan Botha (Zing/Slabbert Burger Transport) ended 12th and 13th in the circuits and did well to score 7th place in the longhaul.
The next national event will be held in Strand on 28, 29 and 30 March.
