Low on blood

THE Western Province Blood Transfusion Service (WPBTS) has a huge shortage of blood and plea with people to donate blood. Tomorrow the WP Blood Donation Caravan will be at Filmatic, 130 Jan van Riebeeck Drive, Huguenot, from 10:00 to 13:00 and at WP Blood Transfusion Service’s Blood Donor Centre, 263 Main Street, from 10:00 to 13:30. Weekly donation sessions are held every Thursday at the WP Blood Transfusion Service’s Blood Donor Centre, 263 Main Street, Paarl, from 10:00 to 19:00. Additional clinic dates are Monday at Gymnasium High School Hall, from 13:00 to 15:00. The service is specifically in need of the O+, O- and B+ blood groups and any person older than 17 years, weighing more than 50kg and who leads a safe and healthy, lifestyle can donate blood.
