Harvest festival in Franschhoek

THE five-star Grande Provence Wine Estate, Franschhoek, will host their annual Harvest Festival on Saturday 1 March from 08:00. After coffee and muffins, award-winning winemaker, Jaco Marais, will take visitors into the vineyards and guide them through the harvesting process. “It is inspiring to see how passionate people can be about wine. Harvest Day is a highlight on my calendar as I look forward to interacting with guests and not only sharing, but gaining insight from them as well,” states Marais. From 10:30 onwards guests are invited to foot-stomp grapes to live music. At midday a lamb spitbraai with salads, roast potatoes, rolls and dessert will be served with a complimentary bottle of Angels Tears wine per person. Refreshments will be sold on The Estate. With lunch games can be enjoyed, such as boules and the croquet team challenge.
