MY heartfelt thanks go to Constable Davids who, on Friday 25 January, singlehandedly and in plain clothes pursued two men, one of whom had stolen my cellphone from our shop at the corner of Main and Rose Street in Paarl and disappeared in the direction of the Strooidak church.
The response from the local Paarl police force was impressive, with a number of vehicles appearing quickly to search the surrounding area. The phone was recovered and peace restored.
