2008-02-28
THE Cape Argus Pick ’n Pay Mountain-bike Challenge will return to Boschendal Wine Estate for the sixth time on Sunday. Featuring four route options X ranging from a flat and easy 13km route to an ultra- tough 55km marathon X this is the one event that offers an opportunity for family participation and welcomes both novices and experienced cyclists. Last year’s winners are set to return again to defend their titles, while an entry field filled with fresh talent will challenge them all the way. Entrants can register today at the new Cycle Lab (Northgate Island, off the N1/M5 interchange) between 9:00 and 18:00. Registrations will also be accepted at the Dirtopia Trail Centre at Delvera Farm (R44 between Klapmuts and Stellenbosch) from 12:00 to 18:00 on Friday, as well as from 09:00 to 15:00 on Saturday. No late entries will be accepted. Supporters are also in for a treat with much to see and do on the day. They can sample some of the delicious food and wine on offer, walk through the exhibition vineyard or simply enjoy a performance by DNA Strings.
