Paarlite winner of Brett Goldin Bursary

Thami Mbongo of Paarl is one of the two winners of the 2008 Brett Goldin Bursary, nearly two years after the slain actor’s death.
The recipients of the Brett Goldin Bursary for 2008 were announced out of a shortlist of nine actors selected from 103 applicants countrywide, through an audition process last weekend.
The other winner was Nicholas Pauling. . The successful bursars will work with the Royal Shakespeare Company and will travel to the UK in June for three weeks. Thami is a member of the ensemble which won the 2007 Aardklop Best Actor award for Lara Foot Newton’s Karoo Moose.
