Mbazo was not only locally known and respected, but was well known in South Africa and internationally recognised for his production called Asinamali.
In the early 80’s, he left Paarl for Johannesburg, after being discovered by the talented and famous Bra Gibbs (Gibson Kente). Bisholo then went on to join the Mbongeni Ngema group, Committed Artist. Then a long, successful career in drama took him abroad with Asinamali.
Thereafter he wrote a one man production, titled, Channel 48. The famous production, Sarafina, was the brainchild of Bisholo and was then taken to stage by Mbongeni Ngema.
In the early 90’s he came back home to Paarl and inspired the community of Mbekweni and surrounds to initiate their own drama group known as the Mbekweni Dramatic Players.
He also transferred skills to those whom he worked with and motivated well-known actors such as Thami ka Mbongo, Nceba Mpiliswano, Ayanda Gqotso and so many more.
In Mbekweni he performed his written productions with Bongani Sakawula, Simphiwe Mlenzana, Brenda Mqumbisa and others.
Let us honour him on Heritage Day, Human Rights Day etc.
