THE Western Province Blood Transfusion Service (WPBTS) has a huge shortage of blood and requests members of the public to donate blood.

Donate blood on Thursday 20 March from 10:00 to 19:00 at a special clinic at the Toringkerk Hall in Main Street, Paarl.

The service is specifically in need of the O+, O- and B+ blood groups and people older than 17 years, weighing more than 50kg and who leads a safe and healthy lifestyle can donate blood.

Prospective donors are reminded to have something to eat and drink before donating.
