Fun at Summer Festival

THIS year’s Boland Summer Festival is again packed with entertainment on 28, 29 and 30 March at the Dal Josaphat Stadium in Paarl. Over and above the festivities and fundraising, the event promotes a family atmosphere. “Youth should be getting their highs on the Tornado at the Fun Fair and get their adrenalin pumping alongside the rugby field, not through smoking crystals in a pipe,” Yoesrie Abrahams, festival convenor said. “We hope through these ventures to restore relationships between parents and kids.” There will be a Boland Championships Horse Show, .a 100 metre slide. There will be fireworks, quad bikes, fun rides, pony rides, giant jumping castles, live musical entertainment and Vineyards battling Young Stars in a game of rugby. More than 100 stalls and 30 exhibitions will be selling a variety of food and fashion. The entry fee is R13 (children under 12 and pensioners R6) and vehicles R15.
