tions Company has been awarded the exclusive distribution contract of ground breaking technology through USA-based FatPipe Networks.
This is a big scoop for a Paarl company to be able to supply services to the Southern African market, which is notorious for its many downtimes, lack of infrastructure and lack of planning of companies with regard to their IT and network based needs.
According to Werner Kruger, Kinetek has technology that can combine different WAN mediums to create the perfect solution for companies that require mission critical services all year round.
The products allow companies to combine different WAN connections to create bigger bandwidth mediums, not only to achieve better throughput, but also spread the risk of downtime.
An example of a typical situation would be if a company’s DSL connection fails, your VPN or internet connection would remain up through a different WAN medium like 3G or Satellite.
In the USA, many major industry types use FatPipe products including law firms, financial and medical institutions; local, state and federal government entities; military institutions, municipalities, utilities and educational facilities.
FatPipe products are deployed at 16 of the top 100 hotels in the US and are used by 13 of the top 100 law firms.
FatPipe products have successfully been installed all over the globe and have been able to connect up to 32 WAN connections (850Mbps). Currently existing providers offer the fastest connection of 3.6Mbps.
