NOMINATIONS are now open for the prestigious Shoprite Checkers / SABC 2 Woman of the Year Award.

South Africans are invited to participate in the search by nominating the country’s best in seven categories: business entrepreneurs, health, education, social welfare, arts, culture and communications, sport, and science and technology.

Each of the seven category winners will receive R10 000 in prize money, while the overall winner will receive R30 000.

The closing date for entries is Friday 9 May.

Candidates can visit their nearest Shoprite or Checkers store to collect entry forms.
