WITH the 2008 Boland Athletics Track and Field Season drawing to a close with the SA Youth and Junior Track and Field Championships which took place in Pretoria this weekend, all eyes will turn to the start of the Boland Athletics Cross Country Season.

The first event will take place on 10 May in Worcester and will be one of eight Cross Country League and Trial Races. The final event will be the Boland Cross Country Championships on 2 August in Riebeek West.

After the Boland Cross Country Championships, which will be a joint venture between Boland Athletics and Boland Schools Athle- tics, a Boland team will be selected to represent the Province at the SA Cross Country Championships on 6 September and the SA Schools Championships from 26 to 27 September. Athletes from clubs and schools in the Boland are welcome to compete.
