DVD pirates arrested in local market

POLICE cracked down on sellers of pirate DVD’s in Paarl on Saturday.
Cassettes valued at more than R50 000 were confiscated in a raid on a stall at the Saturday market on Jan Phillip’s Square.
The operation was conducted by a special unit from Cape Town, who followed up information that DVD’s that had been illegally produced, were being sold in Paarl. Paarl Police and members of the town guard assisted with the raid.
Three Pakistani nationals were arrested.
