CELEBRATE Mother’s Day on 11 May, amidst the tranquil surroundings of the exclusive Grande Provence Wine Estate in Franschhoek.

Executive Chef, Jacques de Jager will present an indulgent gourmet menu to celebrate this special day.

Upon arrival moms will be treated to complimentary flowers and decadent home-made chocolates.

Pre-lunch appetisers will be served.

Starters include sweet corn veloutè with tempura prawns or crispy ham hock and quail egg salad with rocket parmesan croutons and Rosa tomatoes garnished with whole grain mustard vinaigrette.

For the main course guests can enjoy either a rack of Karoo lamb with a crepinette of slow braised lamb, potato gratin and Vichy carrots with rosemary jus or oven roasted line fish with white beans, spinach, fennel and shimeji mushrooms with sauce mitonné.

Desserts include bitter Belgian chocolate tart with raspberry sorbet and macadamia glass with honeycomb or hazelnut crème brûlée with milk chocolate ice-cream.

Says chef de Jager: “Mother’s Day is an ideal time to be grateful for all that our moms have done and do in our lives. It is a time to be surrounded by family, friends and loved ones. I’ve designed a Mother’s Day menu to celebrate and spoil moms and give them the recognition they so deserve.”
