Gala dinner for Book Fair

THE Cape Town Book Fair and Project Literacy have joined forces to host a Gala Dinner on 13 June at the Westin Grand Cape Arabella Quays Hotel. This is to open and commemorate this year’s Cape Town Book Fair, which is held under the auspices of the South African Publishers’ Association and in association with the Frankfurt Book Fair. The Book Fair runs from 14 to 17 June. Best-selling author Alexander McCall Smith will be doing what he does as seamlessly as writing: giving an entertaining after-dinner speech for the guests. All monies raised will go towards Project Literacy’s Run Home to Read Programme. Tickets are R1500 per person. Call 021-418-5493.
