Seeff Franschhoek scoops top honours

Seeff Franschhoek scoops top honours

2008-05-22

AT Seeff’s Annual Awards ceremony held at Spier in Stellenbosch, Seeff Properties in Franschhoek received two of the highest accolades within the Seeff Group.

“We are thrilled to follow up on our Most Improved Licensee of the Year Award last year with the Licensee of the Year Award.

“This is fantastic recognition of the time and work put in by ourselves and, most importantly, by our agents Jeanine Allen, Marianne van der Merwe, Melina Visser and Dawie Pretorius,” says Sean Biden, marketing director of the Seeff Winelands Group.

The property market in Franschhoek is still robust.

“We are seeing that deals are much harder to get through, but interest is still exceptionally high from all areas. However, we are seeing larger discrepancies between asking price and selling price.”

Even though the market in Franschhoek is still good, buyers are definitely sitting in the pound seats at the moment.

“Our stock available for sale are at an all time high. We are advising serious sellers to price their properties correctly.

“Those that put their properties on the market for silly prices will simply sit with no results.”

Rob and Sean Biden picked up the award for Licensee of the Year as well as Marketer of the Year for their division.

They also received the award for Shopfront of the Year for their Tulbagh Branch, which like Franschhoek falls under the Seeff Winelands Group umbrella managed by the Bidens.

In addition, they were runners-up in Rands for top supporting office for Ooba (previously MortgageSA), and winner, along with all Western Cape Licensees, of the PMR Golden Arrow Western Cape Leaders and Achievers Award.

This award was given to all Seeff Western Cape Licensees in recognition of companies doing most in their business sector over the past 12 months to stimulate the province’s economic growth and development.

This award is rated by Western Cape businesses, local and provincial government.
