This waste paper is not amusing

IT is with “amusement” that I went through the latest mailer/pamphlet that was put under my windscreen wiper during the past week advising me that Waste Week is coming up from 25/05 to 01/06. Please see if you can get hold of a copy of this mess and count the errors – I counted 33 and this in the English/Afrikaans portion only. I can’t speak Xhosa and thus I can not possibly know how many mistakes there are in this part. Surely because it is “Waste Week” the municipality should not waste paper by giving us this poor excuse of a notice. How many trees did someone chop down so we can either be annoyed at the quality or amused at the illiteracy of key employees of our municipality. In future please either have this drivel proof read by someone who can read or do not waste money printing it. I am sure the company who did the printing for the municipality was highly amused and told all and sundry about the “competence” of the people in charge Hardly amused
