THE development of an agricultural estate is planned adjoining the Simonsvlei district road, near the former Santé Winelands Hotel.
The Mon Ciel Estate of 57,7 hectares will be located on the opposite side of the railway line from Simonsvlei winery.
There will be 51 single residential homes. Sites will be an average of 7519 square metres each.
The application for development has been lodged by TV3 architects and planners of Stellenbosch. The site is not currently included in the Drakenstein urban edge, which would have to be altered for this purpose.
Objections, if any, must reach the Drakenstein municipal manager by 23 June.
