ON Thursday 26 June the Frank Pietersen Music Centre will be hosting a Sunset Concert where all the best senior achievers in the May Control Tests will be performing.

This concert will be held in the Music Centre’s hall in Sanddrift Street, Paarl, at 19:00.

Items on the musical menu include a Violin Concerto by Vivaldi and a Küchler Violin Concertino as well as amongst others saxophone, trumpet and singing solos.

A panel of judges will decide on the best performances.

Music lovers can also hear a few professional players perform.

Hadley Duminy and Petrus Coetzee, both violin teachers at the Frank Pietersen Music Centre, will play the first movement of JS Bach’s Double Concerto accompanied by colleague Arno Jones.

The “Trio Fantastik”, consisting of Hadley Duminy (violin), Lara Neuenschwander (cello) and Lester le Roux (piano), will perform the Trio in B flat maj no 6 by Mozart. Both Hadley and Lara teach at the Frank Pietersen Music Centre while Lester teaches piano at Wynberg Girls’ High.

After the concert everyone can enjoy different soups and wine while the “Trio Fantastik” will provide light background music to entertain everyone.
