WITH 100 wineries at the Stellenbosch Wine Festival, 500 wines to taste, mouth-watering delicacies and amazing entertainment all under one roof, the Paul Roos Centre is the place to be from 31 July to 3 August. The festival will also be hosting a Wine Connoisseurs’ Evening on Thursday 31 July where the serious wine lover will have the opportunity to mingle with the top Stellenbosch winemakers. Tickets are R250, which includes snacks, food vouchers and entertainment. On Friday 1 August, jazz star Lira will put on a dazzling performance. The show will start at 20:00 and tickets (R100) are available from Computicket. Other highlights include fashion shows and cabaret by Amanda Strydom. On Saturday 2 August, adrenalin junkies have the opportunity to ride through the vineyards of several wine estates in the Stellenbosch Mountainbike Challenge.
