SEVERAL new property developments are currently in the pipeline in the Paarl area.
In Lustigan Road, Paarl, a block of apartments with about 270 units is proposed on a site of 9 hectares (Erf 8704 and 14995) by Neffensaan Developments. The building, proposed to the east of the intersection with Carolina Road, will vary between two and three to four storeys.
An application and a basic assessment report will be submitted to the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning for approval.

* In the same vicinity, at the intersection of Lustigan and Langenhoven Roads, Shatel proposes to develop a block of 64 flats called Lustigan Mews. Flats of one and two bedrooms are selling for between R349 000 and R459 000.
* Between Groenheuwel and Newton, in the vicinity of the pig sties, a property of 7,86 hectare is to be developed for high density residential use (erf 8398) by Toprime Properties.
A total of 36 blocks of flats of three storeys each, with a total of 370 units, is planned. The development will have security access and a clubhouse.
Objections, if any, must reach the municipal manager at the Paarl civic centre no later than 30 June.
* In Wellington, Primad Property Investments plans to erect a block of 24 flats at 71 Bain Street on land currently occupied by outbuildings and a swimming pool.
