2005-07-07

THE fifth running of the Dewdale Mountain Bike Classic will take place on Sunday.

The Dewdale Classic has been laid out as a challenging, but enjoyable ride for all ages and fitness levels.

The start will once again be the Dewdale Trout Fishery, which has proved to be a great venue for the past five years.

Participants and their supporters can look forward to large, tree-lined grass fields providing ample parking, a well-positioned registration area with all necessary facilities, as well as a well marked and marshalled course.

The course consists of two main loops, each about 12km long. There is a choice of four routes - 50km, 25km, 12km and a 2km ride on Dewdale Farm. The latter has been specially designed for young kids (6 years or younger).

Stalls selling food and drink will also be on sale. A post-race lucky draw will also take place.
