Opera star on stage

A RISING opera star, tenor Given Nkosi, will grace the Nederburg Manor House recital room on 27 July at 17:00. Accompanied by one of the country’s finest pianists, Victor Tichart, Nkosi will sing traditional German, Italian and English songs and favourite opera arias such as La donna e mobile, Una furtive lagrima, Amor tivieta and M’apari tutt’ amor. Nkosi has appeared in numerous local opera productions and concert performances, among others as soloist with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra. There will be three more Nederburg concerts this season, in August, September and October. The R125 tickets include a superb finger supper served with fine Nederburg wines and patrons are urged to book well in advance. The concert starts at 17:00.
