THE third annual Cultivaria arts festival promises to once again turn Paarl into the hub of the South African entertainment industry when top local performers descend on this Boland town for a three day cultural extravaganza. Music, drama, comedy, fine wines, gourmet cuisine and fabulous art form part of the spectacular line-up for Cultivaria from 25 to 28 September. South Africa’s top talent will perform in various venues throughout the town as part of a jam-packed festival calendar. Popular artists such as Chris Chameleon, Mathys Roets, Juanita du Plessis, Kevin Leo and the Voices, Nataniël, Nianell and Rocco de Villiers are bound to have audiences on their feet. Don’t miss the exclusive Cultivaria production Timeless III featuring Rina Hugo, André Schwartz, Jannie Moolman and Arina de Witt as well as Kevin Leo and The Voices paying tribute to silver screen classics. Die Burger Emporium will provide a relaxing haven to enjoy fine food, great wines and live entertainment, while aspirant chefs and foodies can brush up their culinary skills at the Food & Home Bokomo Kitchen with fun demonstrations by leading chefs and celebrities. Art lovers should not miss the FNB Private Clients De Kat Art Exhibition, which will feature a collection of works by top local and international artists. The festival artist is Paul Vorster. This visual feast named Imagination, Direction and Colour can be viewed in a collective exhibition in the fabulous KWV Cathedral cellar, while a selection of emerging artists will be on show at the La Rochelle hall. A dedicated Liquifruit Barney’s kids’ theatre and playground with strict security and supervision will keep the little ones occupied, while the grown-ups enjoy their shows.
