THE lecture series presented annually by die Drakenstein Heritage Foundation at the Hout Street art gallery in Paarl, starts on 7 August. During the first lecture Geoff Burr, renowned art dealer, talks on Art Deco sculpture at 20:00. On 14 August Gwen Fagan talks on her visit to Italy with husband Gawie Fagan (architect). In Thursday 21 August, Paarl antiquarian Len Raymond will talk on his passion, Cape country furniture. On Thursday 28 August, heritage consultant Chris Snelling will talk about the Herbert Baker buildings in Muizenberg. The talks start at 20:00. A fee of R25 per lecture is charged (payment in advance for al four lectures is R80).
