THE Paarl Toastmasters Club meets every second Tuesday of the month to learn and practice public speaking techniques.

Toastmasters International thus offers a “learn-by­doing” education program in which members learn their communication skills in a supportive club atmosphere.

While the subject matter of speeches varies, Toastmasters International provides manuals that guide members through their delivery method, offering details on tried and tested presentation styles.

Constructive feedback, or evaluation, is the heart of the Toastmasters program.

Whenever members present a prepared speech, an evaluator will point out the presentation’s strengths and offer suggestions for improvement.
