Drug bust

DURING a recent operation against drug dealers in Mbekweni, six police dogs assisted their handlers and a crack team of policemen and women in the searching of three dwellings and the frisking of suspects. Seven men (two of them teenagers) were arrested for being in possession of drugs. Among the drugs confiscated were 77 mandrax tablets, 67 parcels of dagga, 228 dagga cigarettes and a small amount of Tik. The total value of the drugs confiscated was R7000.
