A DRAKENSTEIN supervisor in the engineering department, Mosi Johnson Zwinye, stands to lose his job if he is found guilty again for sexual harrassment. In December last year, Zwinye was found guilty of sexually harrassing the previous Human Resources Manager, Hawa Khan, and two other female employees at the Drakenstein Municipality, in an internal hearing. He was also convicted of corruption following attempts to influence the order of names on the housing list. Zwinye was charged and found guilty on twelve counts of sexual harrassment. The presiding officer, Noel van Stade, recommended that Zwinye’s sentence of dismissal for sexual harrassment be entirely suspended for a period of twelve months, during which period he can be summarily dismissed for misbehaviour. Just seven months after Zwinye got his job back, he is again being accused of sexual harrassment by a fellow female worker. According to the Drakenstein spokesperson, Anthony Sauls, a process is currently being followed to handle the accusations against Zwinye. “The merit of the case cannot be discussed now, because it could influence the case,” Sauls said.
