THE Al-Azhar Institute of Paarl is hosting a rugby day on Saturday at Faure Street Stadium from 09:00.

The event is aimed at a fund-raising for the community based institute.

The day will commence with participants from Grade R to Grade 4 of Al-Azhar and New Orleans Primary School entering in mini-rugby matches.

Grade 5 to Grade 8 will compete in normal fifteen man games.

The main event will be the knockout final for the u.16’s from Vineyards Football Club and Windmeul Rugby Football Club.

The event starts at 09:00 till 17:00 with a lunch break from 12:45 to 13:45. Refreshments will be on sale.
