Too little too late for Vineyards
2008-09-04
IT was a case of too little too late for Vineyards after they won their third consecutive match on Saturday. The game against Lower Paarl, which was played in mud and rain, suited the hard men of Vineyards, with Blues having no answer in their 12-31 defeat. Vineyards ran in five tries against their old foes to end the season with a good victory. With Vineyards dominating up front, the backs managed to score four of the team’s tries through Adlee Moerat (centre), Kurt Ruiters (wing), Jacobus du Plessis (full back) and Shukri Moerat (centre). Scrum-half Dillon Siegelaar added six points with the boot. Prop Clint Abrahams had a stormer of a game again and was deservedly rewarded with a try. Vineyards is planning an Easter tour to George/Mossel Bay next year for all junior and senior teams. Contact Thaamir on 082-723-8262 or Mawiyah on 082-308-4786.
