VIRTUOSO, the by-invitation-only global leader in travel networks, has awarded Le Quartier Français in Franschhoek the prestigious Best of the Best Award in the category of Best Culinary Experience. Widely regarded as the highlight of the 20th annual Virtuoso Travel Mart, an annual travel industry summit for networking, the Best of the Best Awards, announced late last month in Las Vegas, were attended by only the crème de la crème of the world’s finest hospitality establishments. Le Quartier Français was lauded for providing the ultimate culinary ‘experience’ which, by implication, transcends simple cuisine, and encompasses an all-inclusive, composite hospitality and dining package. Le Quartier Français took home the coveted title of Best Culinary Experience for fine dining at the Tasting Room, their street-side bistro, iCi, and indulging in modern country fare at Môreson’s Bread & Wine.
