I REFER to the letter in the Paarl Post dated 19/09/08 titled “I was cheated at local fuel pumps”. We as owners of Daljosaphat Motors would like to clarify the incident of 31/07/08.
Gail filled up her vehicle with diesel at the petrol station where a human mistake occurred.
The petrol attendant filling her car accidentally read the wrong side of the dual pump reading and therefore a wrong amount was taken from her pertrol card.
It is the sole responsibillity of the client to see that he or she stops at the right fuel pump to fill up his vehicle, and checks the amount before swiping the card and signing off the transaction.
The client contacted us regarding the incorrect amount that was taken, where we mentioned to her that this matter must first be investigated. That was the reason for the long delay.
Last week we refunded the client and personally apologised to her. Gail left our office very satisfied.
We would like to once again apologise for any inconvenience caused.
We would also like to assure our loyal clients that we would not make such mistakes on purpose to prejudice our clients.
