A CHARITY evening to raise funds for the SA National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (Sanca) will be held at Nelson’ Creek on 25 October by BeveraTech. SANCA was established in 1956 in response to the dire need for interventions to deal with the devastating effects of alcohol and drug abuse. In recognition of the substance abuse challenges that continue to ravage our communities, tear families apart, and rob people of the bright and happy future they deserve, BeveraTech will be raising funds to provide much-needed interventions and support for workers in the wine industry who are struggling with alcoholism and drug dependency. The Charity Evening celebrations will include a sumptuous three course meal, fine wine and much dancing as well as a small wine auction and many give-aways. There are some wonderful prizes up for grabs in the lucky draw. Tickets at R320 per person are available from Berdien on (021) 868-0069.
