THE seventh annual Interschools Dressage and Show Jumping championships took place at the Evergreen Stables in Paarl this weekend. Schools who took part were Paarl Girls’ High, La Rochelle, Paarl Boys’ High, Paarl Gymnasium, Bridge House, Huguenot, Hugo Rust, Courtrai Primary, Wellington Preparatory and WA Joubert. In the Class A Pre-Novice Dressage it was the team of Paarl Girls’ High who walked away with first prize. The champions in the B-Class Novice Dressage were La Rochelle. Gymnasium won the Class 6 50cm Novice Team Championship, with Girls’ High taking gold in the Class 7 60cm Intermediate Championship and Bridge House claiming gold in the Class 8 80cm Open Team Championship. Gymnasium was awarded the best turned out Pre-novice team, with the Gymnasium Open Team being named the best turned out team.
