Unique industrial development planned
2008-10-30
A NEW industrial development is planned on the site on the old Simondium winery and adjoining land. The development is surrounded by wellknown wineries such as Fredericksburg and Plaisir de Merle and conveniently located with easy access to the N1 and the agricultural market of the Western Cape. The Simondium Guild project is managed by IQ Vision, with Rise Architects and Lyners providing the architectural and consulting engineering expertise, respectively. All required approvals and conditions including power supply, have been met. Existing buildings include a winery of about 6000m² dating back to the turn of the previous century, lending a historical ambience to these premises, with additional 14475m² light industrial buildings to be built. The first phase, an initial 22 units totalling 4184m², is to go on sale in early November with transfers to take place in mid 2009. Further planned developments include 4000m² of AAA grade offices. The developers are mainly marketing to suppliers for the agricultural and wine industries, but are happy to negotiate with other businesses hoping to set up home in the area. For further information regarding the renting or purchasing of units, visit the web site www.simondiumguild.co.za or contact Mark Groenewald on 082-829-6915 or info@simondiumguild.co.za.
