Peacocks in danger

Peacocks in danger

2008-10-30

IN response to the report that a peacock was beaten to death this week because of the noise it makes, I would like to request assistance.

We have 15 peacocks that are going to suffer the same fate if they are not removed. Neighbours are planing to shoot or poison them in Brenham Close, Courtrai.

The original four birds have become 15 - they are making a noise, messing in gardens and driving the people crazy.

Cape Nature did come and have a look, but just pulled up their shoulders and said “too hard to catch them” and drove off.

I am trying everything to try and save these birds, but nobody cares. I can be contacted on 082-538-9326.
