Mayoral Cup semi-finals excitement

THE last quarter-final matches of the Mayoral Cup soccer tournament took place on Tuesday at the Mbekweni Soccer Stadium. The African Jaguars beat Mbekweni Sundowns 2-0 in the one quarter-final encounter, with Mbekweni Cosmos thrashing Eleven Ideas 4-1 in the second match. The semi-finals of the Mayoral Cup will take place on Saturday at the Faure Street Stadium, with the u.13 matches kicking off at 11:00, when Mbekweni United takes on Paarl Soccer Club and Eleven Ideas takes on Barcelona. The u.15’s kick off at 11:45, with Mbekweni Cosmos taking on Juventus and Mbekweni United taking on Boland Warriors. The ladies’ matches will start at 13:30, with Paarl United playing Barcelona and Lady Hawk United playing Paarl Ladies. In the senior division, at 15:30, Boland Warriors from Fairyland will take on Mbekweni Cosmos, followed by Victoria United from Paarl East squaring off against African Jaquars.
