THE award-winning Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate, Franschhoek, has once again attained international recognition and added even more prestigious wine awards to its long list of accolades. It was voted one of the Top 100 wineries in the world, selected out of 1423 producers. Says General Manager, Rykie van Tonder: “We are extremely proud to have been acknowledged for our achievements as a world leader in the wine and hospitality industry. This is testament to all the hard work our team delivers day after day to offer our guests only the very best.” Grande Provence has triumphed with two gold awards for its Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 and The Grande Provence 2004 at the second largest wine competition in the world, the AWC-Vienna International Wine Competition. The Estate was awarded a gold medal for the Grande Provence Chardonnay 2006 at the Juliet Cullinan Wine Connoisseurs Awards 2008 and also walked away with being voted the best white wine at the show.
