Small business expo planned
2005-07-28
THE Drakenstein Municipality will host a small business expo on 13 and 14 September at the Huguenot Community Hall to encourage business development in the area.
Most importantly they wish to get all the roleplayers under one roof to share their views and experiences on this topic.
One of the key purposes of the event is to gather all service providers and financial institutions based in the municipality under one roof.
Also welcome are all developmentally minded individuals in the industrial, farming, tourism and wine industry to discuss challenges facing development in the Drakenstein Municipality and a way forward.
They also plan to give all SMMEs in the area a chance to show/sell their products or services as well as give all aspirant small business persons an opportunity to speak to service providers and understand the opportunities available to them as well as the challenges they will face.
The Drakenstein Small Business Expo 2005 will facilitate a platform for discussion, as well as a presentation of services, opportunities and small business ideas.
SMMEs that wish to be a part of the SMME market are expected to bring an assistant that is able to man the stand whilst the business owner engages with the BDS Providers and Financial Institutions in the Hall.
The SMMEs should be prepared to market and sell their goods and services to the best of their ability during all open hours of the one day event.
